GRAND RAPIDS, MI; October 29, 2014 - Belmont Engineered Plastics, LLC is now an ISO 9001:2008 certified organization. The company accomplished this milestone in just eighteen months.
“Our team is very proud that we were able to build upon the excellent foundation that was in place at the time of purchase and progress to the point of receiving ISO certification. I am thankful to have such a committed team of plastics and manufacturing professionals. The team enabled this organization to become ISO compliant in a very short time. We recognize that our value to customers begins with exceptional quality and service. Our robust quality system will ensure we deliver products that meet that requirement,” states Stephen King, CEO of Belmont Engineered Plastics. Led by Denice Pekel, Quality Manager, and the leadership of Belmont Engineered Plastics, or BEPlastics, the team secured a registration with focus on injection molding and assembly. “This certification strongly supports our recognition in the marketplace as a plastics products manufacturer and competitive provider of both molded parts and complete assemblies. As we serve the existing personal protection equipment market and grow in packaging, dispensing systems, automotive components, and durable medical equipment, the ISO 9001:2008 systems are a strong foundation ensuring delivery of quality and value to our customers. We are thankful to be recognized amongst many other well performing plastics companies in Michigan.”
BEPlastics transitioned from an OEM captive manufacturing facility to a contract manufacturing company in April 2013 after a purchase of Kimberly-Clark Corporation’s facility on the north side of the Grand Rapids metro area. With 150,000 square feet of manufacturing and distribution space, focused on plastics production processes, customization, decoration, and product assembly, BEPlastics ships globally on behalf of its customers. BEPlastics is privately held and supports sixty employees plus a number of seasonal workers.
